| Myah Flynn art exhibition - Auckland |
| Merging the figurative with the abstract, Flynn's paintings bloom with curling cloudy nebulae of colour, from which emerge the pale figures of immortals and angels, birds and mythical creatures. As TJ McNamara notes, the lush, brilliant forms, ecstatic yet graceful, are suggestive of vivid emotional states, filling the paintings with "the curving, tumultuous exbuerance of a rococo heaven". |
