STATE New Zealand Ocean Swim Series - Corsair Classic - Christchurch
Six ocean swim events around New Zealand. All events will have an "I'm going long" swim which will range from 2.8-3.3km aswell as the "Step it up 1000m" swim, "Give it a go" 300m swim and a 200m Ocean Kids event.

The Mercury Bay Art Escape - The Coromandel
The Mercury Bay Art Escape is a self drive tour of Artists Studios and Galleries in the beautiful Mercury Bay area of the Coromandel Peninsula. In 2011 it will be held over two long 3 day weekends beginning 25 February and ending 6 March.

Visitors will tour studios and galleries extremely diverse in character along one of New Zealand's most beautiful coastal regions, have the opportunity to meet and chat with the artists, and if desired, purchase art directly from the source.

The first day of the tour culminates in an Opening Reception and the unique Taste of the Tour exhibition at Hot Waves Cafe in Hot Water Beach beginning at 5:30 pm.

The Yamaha Battle of the Streets race meeting in Paeroa is a fun and spectacular day out for all the family, even if you only have a slight interest in motor sport. Never will you see as much overtaking and jostling for position. The event is the largest sporting occasion in the Thames Valley and one of the largest motor sport meetings in New Zealand. Entry $25 Adult (incl free programme), $10 Young Persons (10-15 yrs), Free for under 10yrs. Pay at gate.

Popular day for petrol heads and car enthusiasts always held the day prior to the “Battle of the Streets” bike race. Includes V8 car and motorcycle parade and display, demonstrations, rides, competitions, swap meet stalls, monster truck rides, a "V8 Chainsaw", live music coffee carts and sausage sizzles plus, the racecourse bar will be open.
